AntropoMORPHE on Reproducing Biological Processes

This project focuses on the theme of “body exo-structures” thru the investigation of morphologies related to natural systems in order to generate envelopes based on non-linear structural conditions such as growth by networking, cellular, fibers, stacking, braiding, weaving, knitting, lacing and extruding.

Can we make a building to grow? How would be the spatial perception of such kind of space? These insightful questions produce a variety of outputs from the thirteen undergraduate students working at Biotectonica. Each of the students selects a biological growth process which they studied. From such process, they defined parameters of architectural morphogenesis.
